The Trip: I arrived on the island by Plane with LTU. The trip was good with no delays.
Reasons for going to Lesvos: my mother has a summer home on the island
Favorite things about the island/area
Best Beaches : Tarti, Petra, Vatera
Best Villages : Molyvos, Ayiasos, Petra, Skopellos
Best Activity : Relaxing!
Best Bar/Pub/Club : N/A
Best Restaurant : too many to list
Negative opinion about the island: Find a better way to dispose garbage. Very disappointed that they do not yet recycle. Areas that are not deemed "touristy" were not as clean. Locals need to take a greater interest in their environment as it is truly so beautiful and a great shame for it to be littered
Recommendations for future visitors: Rent a car. It is a large island with varying landscapes. There is so much to see and so many little side trips you can take that the local tours do not take advantage of. Take advantage of the many marked hiking trails into the mountains where you will see authentic Greek mountain villages and unspoiled beauty
