Vatera beach Lesvos: The long, wide beach of Vatera is the largest and one of the most beautiful beaches of Lesvos.
It is lying at 50 kilometres south-west of Mytilene and stretches on a length of 8 kilometres. It has fine golden sand and is sheltered from the north-east summer winds.
Its cleanliness and crystalline waters are the reason why Vatera Beach gets the award of the EU Blue Flag every year.
