Lesvos is a large island which gives many nice beaches. Some of them are organized with sun beds, umbrellas, watersports centres and hotels, while others remain secluded and ideal for privacy. Most popular beaches are Vatera, Petra and Plomari.

Location: 50 km south west of Mytilene
Description: Vatera streach along an immense, sandy beach on the south western side of Lesvos. Fishing boats and yachts moor in the lovely port of Agios Fokas.
Location: 57 km north west of Mytilene
Description: This large organized beach is a big touristy resort, Umbrellas, sun beds, showers and changing cabins are available on the beach, as well as various restaurants and taverns.

Description: Agios Isidoros is a long, sandy beach close to Plomari. It is organized with sun beds, umbrellas and many watersports centres.
Location: 33 km north of Mytilene
Description: This is a large cove close to Mandamados village, on the north eastern side of Lesvos. It is not organized, so it usually doesn't get frequented.

Description: Anaxos is a lovely beach resort on the northern side of Lesvos. It is a calm, family resort with a fine, sandy beach in front.

Description: This is a calm, sandy beach close to the family resort of Anaxos. It is not organized at all and offers a relaxing environment to its visitors.

Description: This is a calm beach close to Molyvos, the second largest town of Lesvos. It is not organized and offers a really calm environment.

Description: This beach is located on the northernmost side of the island. It is clean and has some vegetation along the coast.
