The big island of Lesvos is ideal for many sports.
Organised beaches such as the beaches of Thermi, Sigri, Vatera, Agios Isidoros, Skala Eressou, Kratigos, Tarti and Eftalou, rent all the necessary equipment for wind surfing and water skiing, as well as canoes and paddle boats.

Mytilene has a public pool were anyone can swim or do water polo. Every August, the municipality of Polichnitos organises swimming championships.

Basketball, volleyball and tennis courts as well as football fields are available in the athletic facilities of the luxury hotels in Mytilene, Agiassos, Agia Paraskevi, Plomari and Kratingos and can be used by everybody.

The beautiful coastline of Lesvos is ideal for fishing, sailing and scuba diving.

The varied scenery of the interior of the island and its natural beauty is perfect for hunting (Hunting Club of Mytilene: 22510 24617), mountaineering and trekking.
