I was very satisfied from everything, especially the food & wine. In a few words, very lovely beaches -Plati, Thanos, Mevgatis, Keros, Fanaraki-, picturesque villages -Myrina, Kaspakas, Platis, Thanos, Kontias, Moudros-, lots of historical monuments, many things to do, great people and hospitality.... We went to visit my daughter, who was working at a hotel in Myrina for the summer.
The island is very quiet with few english tourists. We flew with Thomas Cook - you can book a flight for half the price of Olympic Airlines. There are ferries but we didn't manage to sort them out.

Reasons for going to Lemnos: Lemnos is not a known touristy destination of Greece and - hopefully - had not a lot of toursits.
