General information

Kondopouli village Lemnos: This village lies 29 km east of Myrina, the capital of Lemnos amidst a vast area of wheat fields. It is nestled between the two lakes of Aliki and Hortarolimni which host many flamingos. It has about 800 inhabitants most of whom are engaged in agriculture and pottery.

The village is home to many historic monuments and beautiful locations. Among them is Ifestia, one of the ancient and most important towns of Lemnos. Excavations revealed several findings that witness traces of inhabitance from the prehistoric times. Numerous byzantine churches are found inside the village.

Kontopouli is also famous for its pottery products. The village has plenty of accommodations, taverns and traditional cafes and in close distance is the beautiful beach of Keros.
