A new form of energy will be produced in Ikaria from now on: a unit for the prodution of hybrid energy has been created to provide the whole island with electric energy produced from recoverable reserves. This energy unit was inaugurated last week and it is very important for the island of Ikaria and Greece in general. With the use of hybrid energy, the island will have made a great contribution in the protection of the environment, plus it will be turned into a pioneer for the rise of environmental awareness.
