Ikaria Villages: Gialiskari village in Ikaria Gialiskari Village Ikaria: The small seaside village of Gialiskari is located in the northern part of the island, west of Evdilos. It is surrounded by verdant pine trees and dense forests and has about 165 inhabitants. It is a lovely fishing village which has become one of the main touristy resorts of the beach, however remaining authentic and unspoiled.

A traditional feast is held on the 15th of August (the day of the Virgin) at Gialiskari, during which local food and wine is served and people dance until dawn. Numerous shops, hotels, pensions, cafes and taverns can be found in this village.
