Amazing geographically and great food

The trip: I arrived on the island by ferry long and uncomfortable as I was in the café and it was delayed by 2 hours
Reasons for going to Ikaria: I met an Ikarian in New Zealand and he invited me to come and holiday here
Idea about Ikaria before arriving: Nothing I knew, nothing of this island of Greece. Really New Zealand is quite far away and there is not a large Greek community
Did it meet your expectations: Without expectations I was not disappointed. Ikaria is AMAZING, geographically and the food is great!!

Recommendations: Learn some greek and patience!
