Ikaria Festivals: The International Chess Festival of Ikaria Greece, Eastern Aegean

The International Chess Festival of Ikaria: Ikaros Chess Festival is an important and international festival that takes place every July in Agios Kirikos town, on Ikaria island. It lasts for two or three weeks and the festival has many categories, including a ladies tournament, a junior tournament, a veteran tournament, rapid tournaments, a Blitz international tournament, an Aegean open championship and an international “Blintford-Rapid” tournament.

are also exhibition events and chess lectures, among others. More than a hundred people participate in this festival every year and the winners receive financial awards and are offered accommodation privileges.
