Ikaria Nas beach

General information

Nas Beach Ikaria: The beautiful sandy beach of Nas lies in a picturesque cove, about 55 km north west of Agios Kirikos, close to the village of Armenistis. It is situated at the union of a river and the Aegean Sea, in a beautifully unusual scenery. Dense forests with streams and waterfalls can be seen a few metres behind the beach, waiting to be discovered.

The ruins of a temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis are lying on the one side of the beach. Na is open to nudists and non nudists. Some excellent taverns are standing on the edge of the cliff above the beach, offering a superb panoramic view over the sea and the possibility to enjoy magnificent sunsets.

A good tavern to eat in Nas
If you go to Ikaria and you are in the area of Armenistis-Nas, don't fail to try the tavern Naiades, in Nas. You find it on the right side, coming from Armenistis, at the entrance of the village. It is a family-run tavern and has a homely atmosphere. Here you can taste traditional Greek and Ikarian food with high quality and very low prices. The owners are very kind and warm people and every dish we ate was very very good.
After the first time, we decided to come again many other days and we were always happy to be there!
Furthermore, the sunset over the small, beautiful bay of Nas is an experience you can't miss...

    Enjoy the romantic sunset
My favourite beach on Ikaria was Nas. Altought we were much tired to go there in the first time (we lost our way and signs were inadequate), we eventually loved this beach. Nas has the best sunset in the Aegean. I was not much impressed by the sunset in Santorini, but Nas... ah, much better. Water was also crystal in this beach and were were lucky enough to be almost alone when we went (in May, there are very few tourists on Ikaria, it is a good time to go).
