General Information:
Owned by Turid Helland, a Norwegian artist who has made Chios his home since 1992, and whose work has been greatly inspired by the beautiful island of Chios, the Gallery Touri, located in Chios Town, exhibits and sells Hellend’s works and also promotes the work of local artists. Hellend specializes in oil, aquarelle, pastel and charcoal on paper, canvas, wood and stone with subtle use of natural materials like dried flowers, twigs or straws.
A splendid collection of paintings, sculptures, woodworks, ceramics, engravings, and posters are on offer at the Touri, besides which there is also a large assortment of frames to put your paintings in. And they come at a reasonable price, too.
