The Rockets of Chios: Vordados village also called Vrontada is a village located about 5 km north of Chios Town. It is centre of the Municipality of Homeroupolis. Places to be visited are the village's windmills, the churches of Agios Stephanos, Agios Markos and Panagia Erythiani, and the Greek writer Yannis Psycharis' tomb. On the top of a hill stands the Monastery of Saint Stefan amongst peaceful surroundings.
