Mikro Chorio Village Tilos: The village of Mikro Horio is not inhabited today. It stands in the middle of the road connecting Megalo Chorio to Livadia and it is almost totally ruined today.
Only a white-washed church with a tall bell-tower stands overlooking the above valley and the sea.
Mikro Horio was first inhabited in the 14th century by the Knights of Saint John who also built a Castle on top of it. Until 1940, it had 750 inhabitants but then gradually it was abandoned, when the residents moved to Livadia village or migrated. |
