Tilos Livadia

General information

Livadia Village Tilos: Livadia is the main port of Tilos and a beautiful settlement with 300 inhabitants, most of whom are engaged in tourism and farming. The port is located 7 km south east of Megalo Chorio, the capital of Tilos. Traditional houses lie in the green valley around the natural bay. They stand out for their traditional architecture, especially the one housing the Police Station which is quite well-preserved.

Churches provide a nice atmosphere and preserve the strong religious feeling of the locals. Among the most beautful is the church of Agia Annna, the church of Agios Nikolaos that stands in front of the port and the church of Agios Panteleimonas.

Ruins of medieval castles lie in the wider area. Following the coastal road you will reach the medieval port of Agios Stefanos, with the lighthouse. A couple of km from there is the agricultural settlement of Geras with the natural springs. The best organized beach of Tilos is found right next to the port of Livadia. Long and sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, some nice hotels and taverns.
