| Tilos is a small, pretty remote, island of the Dodecanese complex, between the popular islands of Rhodes and Kos. Tilos is not much developed in tourism facilities, so it is prefered from people who seek for some peace and quiet in their vacations.
Life on Tilos is concentrated in the villages of Livadia and Megalo Chorio. The most popular beach in Livadia, where most accommodation options are found. Although Tilos doesn't have many sights to see, the nature of the island is gorgeous and ideal for some trekking.
To go to Tilos, you have to take the ferry from Piraeus but the trip is long, as it takes about 18 hours. Tilos is also connected to neighbouring islands with regular ferries and the itineraries get more frequent in summer. |
