The Court of First Instance of Rhodes published yesterday its decision about the gay weddings that were held last June in the Town Hall of Tilos. According to its decision, the two weddings between a gay and a lesbian couple were annuled. The reasons for this remain unknown, while it caused reactions from the Greek homosexual community and the political scene.

The Greek left party Siriza found it unacceptable that such discriminations are held against homosexual couples and asked the government to accept the constitutional right of all people to equality. Alongside, the Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece announced that the two couples will refer to the Court of Appeal for the reinvestigation of the case and if none court in Greece justifies them, then they will refer to the European Court of Human Rights.
