That is why since 1995 –the year when this annual festival started- this event has been considered the main cultural festival on Simi, in part because of the many art disciplines it includes, such as classical and modern music, dancing, poetry, theatre and film shows.
For those who like late night entertainment, the streets found behind the south part count on some lively bars that remain open until late; some of them offering live music.
In addition, in the old town of Chorio after climbing the Kali Strata steps, there is a popular Brit bar, usually very crowded not only by tourists but also by local people until the early morning hours.
However, when visiting Simi during the months of July and August, the available nightlife will sure cover the expectations, since this is when the island seems to flourish at night and the most amusing options become available.
