Kritinia in Rhodes, Dodecanese Greece: Kritinia is one of the most beautiful villages in Rhodes. It is located 55km from the town and it is built in barrow with a great panoramic view to the sea. It is inhabited by 500 people. However, the village has become a place of tourist interest due to its Venetian castle and the church of Agios Ioannis with the magnificent wall paintings of 16th century.
In the centre of the village there are many traditional cafes (kafenia) and taverns which offer the best view to the visitors. Skala Kamirou is located in a short distance from here where it offers interesting sights to see. |
