More about: Rhodes island
All beaches in Rhodes are great, we loved each one separately and for different reasons. Faliraki for its music beach bars, Afandou for the watersports, Kallithea for the rocky landscape, Tsambika for the clean water and the list goes on...

Our hotel was in Afandou and this is where we spent most of our days but we travelled a lot around and saw beautiful places. Rhodes has everything you want on your holidays: sites to see and beaches to swim.

We saw many castles and ancient sites. I loved Lindos, I was disappointed with Ancient Kameiros (you should take more care of this site, it is a pity to leave it almost abandoned and to allow vegetation to grow among the ruins!!!) and unfortunately we saw only a few butterflies in the Butterfly Valley!! Probably it was not their time to fly...

Walking in the Medieval Town was so relaxing and interesting and one day we took a tour to Simi, a lovely island only an hour away. A tour to Turkey would also be cool but we didn't have passports, only our EU identity cards. In Rhodes Town, you can find some gourmet restaurants to eat but we prefered the small taverns by the beach. After all, the food is fresh and prices are cheaper there!
