Rhodes Review:
There is probably something for everyone on the island. There are traditional Rhodian villages, excellent beaches, good main town, excellent bus system, friendly people, good nightlife if you want that sort of thing. We have found that most Greek Taverns are excellent but on Rhodes we found one that was superb (the best we have found). That was in the village of Lardos. Absolutely faultless. If you go to Rhodes you must eat there. The taxi service is the best organised in Greece with tariffs displayed at taxi points so you know what you will pay for the journeys. The Old city of Rhodes is a delight as is the harbour. You could wander for hours. Lindos is alos a must with its narrow streets and acropolis.
We wanted to combine our holiday with a visit to the Island games. The games were superbly organised and this made our holiday even more enjoyable. Must visits include the Butterfly Valley (Petaloudes), Rhodes Old Town & harbour, Lindos.
