The island of Rhodes was a revelation for me. I felt in love with the magnificent medieval city, with the rich architecture, with the landscape and, of course, with the endless beaches and their clear waters.
I took 2 days to discover the many beauties of the capital and then I rented a room in the lovely village of Lindos which is another marvel; it is a small town built on the slopes of a hill, overlooked by an ancient acropolis and where I found, to my great pleasure, a delightful combination of Byzantine, Arab, medieval and local architecture. I felt so great and so at ease in Lindos that I stayed there until the end of my holidays.
All the beauties of Rhodes and the incredible quantity of its beaches makes you forget about the crowd; and you can always found a calmer cove and some very authentic villages?I did.
