The British travel agency trivago.co.uk, one of the biggest travel agencies in the United Kingdom with offices in many European countries, ranks the island of Rhodes in the 3rd position among the most popular European islands. In the list published on July 10th, apart from Rhodes, the Greek islands of Corfu and Santorini are also included.
Rhodes is ranked right after Mallorca and Gran Canaria, the famous Spanish destinations which get the first and the second position respectively. The website of this specific travel agency refers to the history of Rhodes, its nightlife, the excellent beaches, and particularly Kallithea beach, the Valley with the Butterflies, the Medieval Town and other sights that are considered as the trademarks of Rhodes.
