Location: 4,5 km south of Patmos main harbor, Scala
Description: The beautiful scenery created by the traditional architecture gets even more attractive with the narrow alleys, the lovely snow-white chapels and the flowered courtyards.

Location:
4.5 km north from Patmos town
Description: Skala is the main harbour of Patmos and the biggest and most populated settlement. New houses, hotels and enterprises have been constructed, following the growth of tourism.

Location:
Located halfway between the Port of Patmos in Skala and Patmos Town
Description: This monastery has been built around the cave where Saint John had the divine Revelation, after which he wrote the Book of the Apocalypse.

Location:
10 km south of Patmos Town
Description: It is a picturesque cove with pure golden sand and sweeping dunes, shadowed by the many tamarisk trees. The waters are azure and crystalline. Naturists gather on its far south end.

Description: The foundation of the Patmian School also referred to as the "General School of the Nation" was the most important event of the 18th century.

12 km northwest of Patmos town
Description: It is a very picturesque place, with sand and pebbles and crystalline waters, and is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches of Patmos.

:: Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi

Location:
To the eastern side of Chora
Description: Zoodochos Pigi means “life giving source”. The Convent of Zoodochos Pigi, was founded by the monk Parthenios Pankosta, under the patriarch Timothy the 2nd and is located southwest of the big Monastery.

Surrounding Islets of Patmos
Location: Around the island
Description: Plenty of islets are surrounding the island of Patmos, such as Agathonisi and Arkoi. Small boats leaving from Skala are proposing daily excursions to some of those islets, giving the possibility to swim in the turquoise waters, lay down on the golden or white sand and walk among the pine-trees.
