The Volcanological Museum of Nisyros Greece, Dodecanese: The Volcanological Museum of Nisyros is found in the small village of Nikia, the village just above the impressive volcano of the island. It opened in June 2008, which coincided with the opening of the new volcano observation station in Emporios, another village of Nisyros. This museum is housed in the old, abandoned school of Nikia, which was renovated and specially designed.
