Welcome to the Island of Nisyros, Greece, Dodecanese
Nisyros is a small island of the Dodecanese famous for its Volcano. It has a Venetian Castle on a hill atop its capital village, Mandraki, and some lovely churches spread along the island. The landscape of Nisyros is mountainous and rocky. It has some tourist amenities, but not many, since the island is not much developed.

Nisyros has only a few beaches but are not organized. Most of them are sandy and are found on the northen side of the island. The water is crystal and you can certainly practise some snorkelling. As the beaches of Nisyros do not get crowded, you will enjoy all the calmness you need in your vacations. The most famous beaches of Nisyros are Lies and Katsouni, close to Mandraki.
