Located between Kalymnos and Patmos, Leros Island is another place ideal for those who crave for most absolute tranquillity on a beautiful island.
Having a coastline 71 km long as well as a mountainous topography, it offers a number of gulfs and beaches, some of them with some vegetation.

Another interesting strong point on Leros, also related to arts, is Lakki Theatre. The European Union is carrying out an important restoration project of this outstanding art house, one of the most beautiful buildings on all Greek islands, which was bombarded during the 2nd World War and was used by the fascists to gun run weapons and smuggle a variety of goods. |

Taking into consideration its architectural beauty and its cultural value, the place was outstanding even in those times.
According to government sources, the building restoration will finish in the following months and the theatre will open to the general public by the end of the year. But Lakki theatre is not the only attraction on the island - there is also a beautiful castle dating to the Byzantine times which is worth a visit as well.
