Lakki Village Leros: Lakki is one of the most important villages in Leros. It is the largest port of the island and the largest natural port of the Mediterranean, with modern installations and a service unit for the yachts. It is located about 4 km from the capital of Platanos.
The village is a model of Italian architecture where the imposing Neoclassical buildings lined up in front of the beach are built with a special kind of architecture. Those buildings overlook the port and match perfectly with the rest of the buildings which are rather smaller and have a plain architecture. However, this combination lends prestige and preserves the tradition and the culture of the village. |
