Leros has sights for all tastes: breathtaking views form the volcano mountains, lovely beaches, picturesque villages, ancient churches, the Awesome Byzantine Castle, museums, and the usual whitewashed houses matching the neo-classical houses with their special touch of distinction.
Leros has everything to help the traveller spend a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. For those who are fond of History or would like to come into contact with the local culture, Leros island has seven museums:
• The Ecclesiastical collection of Panagia tou Kastrou, in the castle

Among
the various exhibits is also the ladder of the “Queen
Olga” that was sunk in 1943 by the Germans, as well as
a historical retrospective of the typography from the
15th century until the 19th century and printing machines,
old local papers and magazines.
The castle also houses the Municipal Library (since 1988)
and a section of the Municipal Art Gallery of Leros.
