Location: On the eastern side of the island
Description: Kos Town is the capital and main port of the island. Its architecture is a mixture of Venetian, Ottoman and modern style. The most characteristic spot of the town is the strong Castle at the port.

Description: Zia is a beautiful, mountainous village in the centre of the island, offering amazing view to the island. Some tourism development is noticed in the village but the atmopshere is still authentic.

Description: Antimachia stands in the southern side of the island and it is the closest village to the airport. On a hill above Antimachia, there is an imposing Venetian castle.

Description: The small village of Asomatos remains untouched from tourism. The traditional architecture and the beautiful nature attracts some visitors.
Location: 30 km south west of Kos Town
Description: Kardamena has developed as the most popular resort in Kos. It is famous for its luxury accommodation and the intense nightlife. In summer, a boat from Kardamena makes daily excursions to Nisyros island.
Location: 40 km south west of Kos Town
Description: Kefalos is a lovely resort on the southern side of Kos. In the surrounding region, there are many interesting monuments and beautiful beaches.

Description: Lagoudi is a tiny village surrounded by lush greenery. Totally untouched by tourism, this village gives a clear view of rural life on Kos.
Location: 27 km south west of Kos Town
Description: Mastihari is a tourist centre close to the airport. Its small port has a lovely waterfront to stroll around. From this port, boats leave in summer for daily excursions to Kalymnos island.
Location: 3 km from Kos Town
Description: Platani is also known as Kermentes. The characteristic of this village is that most inhabitants are Greek citizens of Turkish origin.
Location: 15 km south west of Kos Town
Description: Pyli is a traditional village located in the centre of the island. The houses expand around the square, which offers nice view to the surrounding nature.
