The trip: I got to the island by plane with Olympic. Though Olympic cancelled our original flight without warning; rescheduling was chaotic.
Reasons for going to Kos: My Grandmother is from Kos; my other 3 grandparents are from Lesvos. We visited both islands to learn more about their homelands.
Expectations and opinions: From our online searches, we were able to imagine some of the physical features on Kos; however, we could not have imagined the friendly and helpful people we met during our visit. It was wonderful to experience real Greek hospitality.

Recommendations: Take a boat excursion to another island or Turkey while you stay on Kos. I regret that we didn't include a trip to Turkey in our plans this time.
Rate of the overall quality/organization/services of this island/area in comparison with other countries: 9/10.
