At the construction phase we paid particular attention to maintenance, protection and preservation of the natural environment and wild life. For example, all preexisting arkeuthos trees - a species of cedar that thrives only in Kos - were left intact. The architecture is in complete harmony with the environment proposing only to add a pleasant and cheerful note to the landscape. Our settlement is built on hillsides and the building structures stand on seven asymmetrical levels staring at the Aegean Sea. The village covers an area of 20.000 square meters and is comprised of three “neighborhoods” (the Upper, Lower and Central neighborhood) that include : 18 three-story lodges - each with its own garden -, the hospitality hall, the reception area, the restaurant, the bar, the tea bar, the boutique, the library, the day care center, the massage and aromatotheraphy facility and the swimming pool.
Our ranch is in itself an additional special note to the settlement and is open to visits. It features a vineyard, domestic animals, fruit-bearing trees and a vegetable garden, all adhering to biological specifications. All the produce is of course delivered and used in our kitchen. The beach is about 500 meters from the main hotel. It may be accessed on foot by crossing the lush flower-covered fragrant hills, by bicycle or by car.
Once there, one will discover our gulf with its seashell covered golden rocks that extend over an area of one kilometer. The powdery sand is gives the impression of walking on a thick carpet. In a certain region of the gulf one may take advantage of the beneficial qualities of clay. And the sea water? It is not simply clean, but certified crystal clean. Children and adults can swim, fish and play fearlessly in the water. The northwestern winds that blow periodically create ideal conditions for surfing and wind surfing. All our facilities are ultramodern, adhering to all the specifications of safety and hygiene. Only the best and safest materials were used in the construction. The residential area of our village is comprised of 18 multicolored three –story lodges of 140 square meters each. Every lodge has its own name inspired from the world of herbs. Thus, one may choose balm, chamomile, rosemary, mint etc. The exterior and interior decoration is based on the same concept.
All rooms without exception have an amazing view to the endless blue of the sea. lofts of 85 square meters that occupy the 2nd and the 3rd floor of each house, each having an independent entrance. Access between floors is provided by an internal staircase. Each loft has the capacity of accommodating 4 to 6 persons and is uniquely decorated. Each apartment has the capacity to accommodate 2 to 4 persons. The swimming pool covers an area of 200 square meters and includes the main pool and the children’s pool. It is paved with non-slip tiles and conforms to all technical specifications for safety and hygiene (water filters, renewal etc). In our swimming pool area one can enjoy the beneficial attributes of hydro-massage or a coffee or drink in the pool bar.The area is equipped with beach chairs and sun umbrellas. The restaurant has a capacity of 100 persons. It is enclosed by large glass panes that allow guests to have a view of the sea from each and every table.
The decoration is based on a simple, traditional, island theme. Our kitchen is fully equipped and can satisfy every demand of the village while at all times adhering to the strictest hygienic standards. The ingredients used are always pure, fresh and many of them come from our own production. The kitchen layout is such as to allow the arrangement of seminars on traditional local and Greek cooking as well as the preparation of homemade marmalades, spoon sweets and cheesepies.
