A lovely village with small beach in front. We were told that the road to Diafani is bad, so went by boat from Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos. After promising a friend that we would visit Karpathos and have a drink there on his behalf, Linda and I did in June 2008. It was a long journey from Wales but one that was so worthwhile. On Karpathos, we spent most of our time in Lefkos. The attraction of this island for us was that there are no major "attractions". Just mountains, beaches, and authentic villages and people. Pigadia is the capital of Karpathos. Nice and small town. It was pretty much what I got through when I was surfing your pages and photos. And what I was looking for, certainly!!
