Karpathos Mesochori

General information

Mesochori Village Karpathos: Mesochori is a beautiful village lying 34 km north west of Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos. The village displays a traditional character with its cute whitewashed houses, narrow alleys and natural springs which form an attractive scenery.

The fabulous location where Mesochori stands offers breathtaking sea and sunset views. Traditional Karpathian houses that still lie here reveal the interesting history of Mesochori and locals try to keep the tradition alive at all aspects. Every year there are local festivals with food and traditional dances.

Several churches that are worth-seeing is the church of Agios Ioannis, the church of the Virgin and the Byzantine church of Agia Irini with nice frescoes.
