This picturesque village has a long tradition and it is well-known for the traditional taverns serving fresh fish and mezedes. The wooden boats are an adornment for the settlement as well as the big sandy beach. Once, Finiki was an area with trade power. Today it is a place with many tourist facilities, but it still keeps its calm environment, like all resorts in Karpathos. This is a lovely place to stay in Karpathos to be close to the beach. Actually many families stay there. One visit in Finiki is enough to admire the beauties and the panoramic view from the chapel of Agios Nikolaos.
