The
island of Karpathos is part of the group of islands
called Dodecanese, group which is located along
the coast of western Turkey.
Karpathos is the most southern island of the archipelago
and is lying between Crete and Karpathos. |

It is a narrow
and oblong island, with a maximum width reaching
11 kilometres and a minimum width of 3, 3 kilometres.
Its northern and southern parts are separated by
the highest mountain of Karpathos (Mount Kali Limni),
rising at an altitude of 1215 metres. |

Kyra Panagia, Ambela (or
Apella) and Achata are some of those wonderful beaches
which are embellishing the island, surrounded by
the Mediterranean Sea and the Sea of Crete.
