The Poseidon's Cave of Karpathos: One of the island's natural sites is the cave of Poseidon located at Myloi. It was used either as a rock-cut tomb or a sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon or Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. The cave has been long used by shepherds of the region and therefore today what you will see is a much eroded version of this once beautiful cave.
