Karpathos Megali Amopi & Pera Ammos beach

Megali Amopi Beach Karpathos: Megali Amopi (and Pera Ammos) is one of the best spots for a family gathering where the environment is safe. The beach is located 7 km south of Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos and some steps away from its neighbour beach of Mikri (Small) Amopi.

The shallow waters are quite an advantage for the children who enjoy beach games in the sand and many swimming adventures in the calm and clean waters. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available all around the beach as well as some nice accommodations, shops and fish taverns.

Local buses connect Pigadia with the beach of Megali Amopi. Some spots on either side of the beach provide a nice solution for some privacy and solitude. One of the most striking features of this beach is the rock that emerges from the sea.
