My Karpathos review
It was my first visit on Karpathos.
I did spend 2 weeks there. Staying in the Iris Studios
1. The accommodation:
Very nice + clean room (+the room was very quiet).
And surprisingly we didnt have any problem with the warm water in the whole 2weeks period! It was almost like not in a Greek island :)
The beach is just across a road. And the beach is just lovely and not so busy in front of the hotel.
The location of the hotel is ok. But if you are not fit for a walk, you need a car or a bicycle to get to the Pigadias center with all the shops + restaurants + ATMs... But there are some minimarkets + restaurants nearer the Iris Studios also.
2. The Pigadia-Karpathos Town:
I think it was very lovely, small town.
But there were plenty of restaurants, cafes and small shops and even some fashion shops if you are up to that ;) And some very photogenic small alleys.
3. Karpathos:
Karpathos was very lovely island. We did rent a quad bike and drove around the island (but not the northern part since it was off the limits...). Karpathos is full of beaches with crystal clear blue waters. But I think the HIGH high mountains are the most stunning feature of this island.
