Travel there - Flights
People who fly to Kalymnos go there by the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". Kalymnos has a national airport and therefore receives only domestic flights from Athens, not charter flights. The flight from Athens takes about 1 hour.

Travel there - Ferries
Most people go to Kalymnos by ferry. The trip by ferry takes much longer than by plane because the distance is long and the ferries are normal. Nowadays Kalymnos can be reached in about 10 hours from Piraeus, to the south of Athens, and 16 hours from Alexandroupoli, northern Greece.

There are also ferries and hydrofoils to connect Kalymnos with other islands.
