In high season, routes are getting more frequent that in winter. There are regular ferries to connect Kalymnos with Alexandroupoli, northern Greece (21 hours) and Piraeus (about 10 hours). There are also normal ferries to other islands, including Kos (1 hour), Chios (7 hours), Lesvos (11 hours), Lemnos (16 hours), Rhodes (5 hours) and Samos (4 hours).

 
Hydrofoils

The island of Kalymnos is served by the Dodecanese Hydrofoil Company with itineraries to other closeby islands. During high season, a daily service is operating for Kos (35 minutes), Leros (50 minutes), Lispsi (75 minutes), Patmos (1,5 hour), Simi (2 hours) and Rhodes (3 hours).

Excursion Boats
During high season, excursion boats are leaving daily from the harbour of Pothia to Mastihari, Kos, and to Pserimos island.
Daily excursions from Myrties to Xirokambos, Leros, are also available.
Excursion boats are also departing once a week from the harbour of Pothia to Turkey.
