Massouri, Myrties and Kantouni are some other villages in Kalymnos island, that come alive mostly in summer, as these are the most tourist spots of Kalymnos. In summer, a boat goes from Myrties to Telendos, a tiny island with few inhabitants and secluded atmosphere.
 Apart from the ancient site of Arkassa and the Castle of Chrissoheria, there are not many sights to see in Kalymnos island. It is mostly a place to calm down and relax on the beach. Most beaches of the western side are organized with sun beds, umbrellas and taverns along the shore, while there are many privates bays in between to enjoy total solitude. Kalymnos island can be combined with Leros, Kos and Patmos for holiday due to the close distance and the good transportation between these islands. |
