Tourism on Halki has not been developed and this makes the island perfect to enjoy some peace and privacy. Although there are not many tourist facilties on Halki, you will not miss anything from modern life. After all, Halki is twice daily connected to Rhodes, the biggest island of Dodecanese.
Just make sure you have enough money with you, as there is no bank on Halki and not an ATM machine. Credit cards are also not accepted.
There are no travel agents there or a branch of the Greek National Tourist Organization. So, make sure you gather any info you need before you arrive. |
