Dodecanese Beaches

Information about the Beaches in Dodecanese islands, in Greece but also information about beaches in many islands of the group: The islands of the Dodecanese, located on the southeastern side of the Aegean Sea, are not as popular as the Cyclades. The most popular Dodecanese beaches are found in Rhodes and Kos, while the other Dodecanese islands are known for their relaxing atmosphere and secluded beaches. The Dodecanese islands offer some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece !

In Rhodes and Kos, you can find very well-organized beaches with all tourist facilities: accommodation, restaurants, beach bars, and water sports centers. Faliraki, Ixia, Ialyssos, and Kallithea in Rhodes are very organized, and so are Kefalos and Kardamena in Kos. As these Greek islands are large, not all beaches in the Dodecanese are organized and busy. There are many small coves and quiet sandy places all around the islands.

The rest of the Dodecanese islands do not get that popular in summer, therefore the ambiance is more relaxing. Those Dodecanese beaches can be organized, but tourism facilities are not as many as in Rhodes and Kos. Also, water sports centers are fewer or even non-existent in the rest of Dodecanese.
