Tinos: Volax Tinos

Tinos Villages: Volax village in Tinos Volax Tinos: Volax village is located in a strange and unique site full of huge granite boulder formations, reminders of a volcanic eruption that took place some thousands of years ago. Those natural monoliths have different shapes and give to the landscape a unique natural charm; the white houses of the village contrast with the profound red of the rocks. The few inhabitants of Volax are basket-weavers and their workshops can be visited. Their works are of course for sale and might make a great and useful souvenir. The old churches of the villages are very interesting to visit.
