Tinian Artists Museum: The Tinian Artists Museum is located next to the church of Panagia Evangelistria in the village of Ysternia, northwest of Chora, between Kardiani and Panormos.
Founded in 1930, the museum displays works of the island’s finest artists, many of whom studied with financial aid provided by the Holy Foundation of Evangelistria. Most of the works displayed here were brought by the Foundation and the rest were donated by the creators themselves as a token of gratitude for the scholarships that the Foundation granted them to study.
Among these works, you can see paintings by N.Gyzis, Nikephoros, Nikolaos and Periklis Lytras, G.Roilos, M.Renieris and sculptures and reliefs by Y. Chalepas, L. Sochos, D. Philipotis, G. Vitalis, Lazaros and Markos Fytalis and Ioannis |
