The Cinema Club of Tinos presents for the following two weeks an honoree to the Italian Neorealism, one of the most important and desicive movements in the history of the cinema. Movies that have marked the cinema ways will be presented in Polymerio, close to the port of Chora. Neorealism dominated in Italy in the 1940s and 1950s and had a great impact on the film-makers to come. Some of its films are included among the best films ever, such as the "Bicyclette Thief" by Vittorio de Sica, which is ranked in the sixth position of the films ever made, according to a 2002 vote.

The schedule of this honoree includes:

19/01 Rome, Open City by Roberto Rossellini (1945)
26/01 Ladri di biciclette by Vittorio de Sica (1948)
02/02 Mamma Mia! by Phyllida Lloyd (2008)
16/02 Atonement by Joe Wright (2007)
23/02 Russian Arch by Alexandre Soukourov (2002)
09/03 Lemon Tree by Eran Riklis (2008)
