Syros Villages: Azolimnos Village in Syros Azolimnos Syros: Azolimnos is a coastal village located in the south eastern coast of Syros, just 6 km from Ermoupolis. In recent years, tourist development has been quite marked in this village. It has a minimum population of 300 inhabitants with tourism and fishing as their main occupations. The small picturesque port of Azolimnos hosts many fishing boats and yachts in summer. One of the most tourist places on Syros, Azolimnos offers a wide range of hotels and apartments. It has many taverns and restaurants that serve delicious local varieties and seafood. Half way from Ermoupolis, there is the beautiful village of Ano Manna with lovely houses that the locals now use as summer houses. Azolimnos is the closest beach to Ermoupolis and one of the most popular of the island. The village is easily accessible with public buses or private means.
