in every Greek island and in many parts of Greece, Syros Greece
celebrates the feast days of various saints and of the
churches which have the same name as the celebrated
saint. The more important religious festivals are:
The celebration of the Virgin Mary on the 15th of August in Korthi and Vari.

festival of Agios Petros on June the 29th at the village
of Kini.
The festival of Agios Ioannis on August the 29th at the
village of Poseidonia.
The festival of Agios Panteleimonas on the 27th of July at the settlement of Finikas. |

A summer Art festival takes place in Ermoupolis in the
Apollon Theatre, the Miaouli Square and the Palace Cinema;
the festival organizes various theatrical, musical and
cinematographic events, all free.
