The churches on Sikinos do not differ much from the churches of the other Cycladic islands. The most famous church is Panagia Pantanassa in Kastro village, or else Chora. This church was built in 1787 and has got a lovely katholikon and beautiful late-Byzantine icons.

The monastery of Panagia Chrysopighi is one of the most beautiful architectural attractions in Chora. It was built in 1690 on the peak of a rock in the form of a fortress. It acted as a stronghold to protect the islanders from plunders and pirates.

| The Church of Episkopi village |

Episkopi village, to the southwest part of Chora, has a rectangular church with two marble columns on either side of the entrance. This church is part of a Roman Mausoleum.
The interesting fact about this church is that it was built on the site where the ancient temple of Pythian Apollo.
